FISHING INDUSTRY UPDATES

One goal of CFCRI is to expand the discussion among the fishing community about current issues impacting the fishing industry. Stay informed and updated about current issues and topics of discussion. Vineyard Wind Supplemental Draft EIS

BOEM released the Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact State (SDEIS) for the Vineyard Wind 1 project. To view the SDEIS please visit BOEM's website here.

The 45-day public comment period began on Friday, June 12 and comments into BOEM should be submitted no later than July 27, 2020.  

BOEM’s virtual public meetings will be held at the following dates and times (Eastern) (links to meetings have not yet been posted and should be posted soon).
  • Friday, June 26, 2020 at 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 1 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 1 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 5 p.m.
During any of the virtual public meetings, you may provide oral testimony. BOEM will limit such testimony to five minutes per speaker. Any speaker who wishes to provide more information than the five minutes allowed is encouraged to do so as a written comment.  

You may submit written comments electronically using Regulations.gov here.

You may also submit written comments by mail. Enclose your comment in an envelope labeled, “Vineyard Wind 1 COP EIS,” addressed to:
